Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Tele) - Night Shift
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction. This role utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
- Implement nursing interventions to improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and modify care plans as necessary.
- Document nursing care and progress in patient records accurately.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Schedule
This position is for the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must be willing to take on call shifts and work weekends as scheduled by the facility.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with stroke patients.
- Current RN license in Maryland.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Willingness to obtain NIHSS and mRS/SIREN Certifications within 48 hours if offered.
- COVID vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
