Salary: $73,341+ (commensurate with qualifications and experience) Location: Athens, Georgia Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Academic Integration, the Associate Director collaborates with academic departments, faculty, and administrators to embed career readiness competencies into curriculum and real‑world learning opportunities. The role partners with the Office of Instruction, Student Affairs, and other units to strengthen co‑curricular career pathways, analyzes data to inform strategy, and provides training and mentorship to faculty and staff. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent) and 5 years of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or related field. Experience in career services, particularly advising and career counseling for graduate students. Proven ability to work effectively with faculty and students. Knowledge of career development trends and labor market trends. Strong relational skills with faculty and administrators. Cross‑functional collaboration and capacity to drive change and coordinate system‑wide resources. Duties / Responsibilities Analysis, Design, and Implementation – 20% Conduct benchmarking studies to identify best practices in career integration. Lead large‑scale projects that embed career readiness into curriculum, advising, and student success initiatives. Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation. Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including faculty, staff, and employer partners, to execute integration initiatives. Faculty Engagement – 30% Lead development, enrollment, evaluation, facilitation, and marketing of programs for faculty. Create toolkits, resources, and professional development opportunities for faculty to incorporate career readiness into teaching. Provide consultation and support for faculty aligning classroom content with employer needs and student outcomes. Lead strategic communications promoting faculty programming, including digital media, in collaboration with communications specialists. Collaboration and Campus Partnerships – 25% Partner with Academic Advising Services, Student Affairs, Experiential Learning, and other units. Coordinate with the Career Center’s Employer Relations staff to connect faculty and students to industry professionals. Strengthen partnerships with offices focused on curriculum innovation, accreditation, and assessment. Assessment and Reporting – 20% Assess effectiveness of integration through faculty feedback, student outcomes, and institutional metrics. Report program outcomes to stakeholders and refine strategies based on data. Maintain current knowledge of best practices in curriculum design and workforce development. Share insights on economic and labor conditions with stakeholders. Education Support & Team Involvement – 5% Support the Career Center’s core operations and cultivation of career opportunities. Participate in events such as orientations, open houses, and other functions to represent the Career Center. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills. Project management, planning, and organizational abilities. Program development and events coordination experience. Proficient computer skills, especially web‑based technology. Technical proficiency with enterprise software systems. Physical Demands Standard office environment. Possibly travel in and out of state. Extensive computer use. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to walk, stand, and kneel as needed.
