TheSuperintendentwilloverseethedailyoperationandlong-termdevelopmentoftheGreen&Groundsdepartment,balancingthreekeypriorities:

• Leadership:Recruit,train,anddevelopaproductive,professionalmaintenanceteam.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

GolfCourse&AgronomicManagement

• Directdailycoursemaintenanceandconditioningacrossgreens,tees,fairways,roughs,bunkers,andpracticeareas.
• Overseefertility,irrigation,mowing,aerification,topdressing,andpestmanagementprograms.
• Monitorturfhealthandweatherconditionswhileidentifyingopportunitiestoimproveplayingconditionsandefficiency.

Leadership&TeamDevelopment

• Recruit,train,schedule,supervise,anddevelopfull-timeandseasonalemployees.
• Establishdailypriorities,maintainaccountability,andpromoteasafe,productiveworkenvironment.

Budget&FinancialManagement

• DevelopandmanagetheannualoperatingbudgetincoordinationwiththeGeneralManager.
• Monitorlabor,supplies,chemicals,fuel,repairs,andpurchasingwhilerecommendingequipmentandcapitalinvestments.
• Irrigation&WaterManagement
• Overseeirrigationsystemoperation,maintenance,andrepairs.
• Monitorsystemperformanceandwaterusagewhileidentifyingopportunitiesforimprovedefficiency.

Equipment&Facilities

• Manageequipmentmaintenance,preventiveserviceschedules,repairs,andreplacementplanning.
• Maintainsafe,organized,andefficientmaintenancefacilitiesandstorageareas.Safety&RegulatoryCompliance
• Ensurecompliancewithapplicablesafetyandenvironmentalregulations.
• Maintainrequiredlicensesandoverseeemployeetraining,pesticidehandling,storage,application,anddocumentation.

Club&MemberRelations

• CollaboratewiththeGeneralManager,HeadGolfProfessional,GreensCommittee,andotherdepartments.
• Coordinatemaintenancearoundmemberplay,tournaments,outings,andClubevents.
• Communicatecourseconditions,projects,andoperationalneedswhilerespondingprofessionallytomemberconcerns.

CapitalProjects&Long-TermPlanning

• Recommendandplanimprovementstoirrigation,drainage,bunkers,equipment,turf,trees,cartpaths,andinfrastructure.
• Developprojectbudgetsandcoordinatecontractorsandvendorstoensurequalityworkandtimelycompletion.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree,certificate,orformaleducationinturfgrassmanagement,agronomy,horticulture,orarelatedfieldpreferred.
• ExperienceasaGolfCourseSuperintendentorAssistantSuperintendent.
• Experienceleadingagolfcoursemaintenanceteamandmanaginganoperatingbudget.
• Knowledgeofirrigationsystems,watermanagement,andequipmentmaintenance.
• Pennsylvaniapesticideapplicatorcertificationortheabilitytoobtainit.
• Strongcomputer,organizational,andcommunicationskills.
• Commitmenttocontinuingeducationandprofessionaldevelopment.
