Asset Management Intern

Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS), a leader in project, asset management, commercial, and operational services for the power generation, exploration & production (E&P), and midstream energy sectors, seeks an Asset Management Intern to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced energy industry environment, supporting financial and commercial asset management tasks Essential Duties And Responsibilities Support the development and tracking of annual operating budgets and business plans to align with owner objectives, monitoring financial and operational variances. Assist in reviewing and ensuring compliance with financial, technical, and commercial contracts. Monitor wholesale market fundamentals and assigned RTO/ISO protocols to support operational strategies. Analyze key project performance indicators and prepare detailed reports for owners and stakeholders. Create and manage Excel models for budgeting, settlements, invoicing, and financial analysis of project opportunities. Develop and deliver a comprehensive end-of-summer presentation to the CEO and leadership team, summarizing key projects, insights, and actionable recommendations based on internship work. Qualifications And Skills Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in business, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field (graduation: Dec 2026 or May 2027). GPA: Minimum 3.0 (3.5+ preferred). Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial data analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication, including presenting to diverse audiences. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting. Self-motivated with strong time management to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
