As the MRITechnologist you will perform basic and complex MR imagingprocedures as well as post-processing responsibilities. This will require anin-depth understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology,pharmacology and medical terminology. You will beexpected to support all imaging centers staffed by our organization. Youwill be required to maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioningand image acquisition/formation. You will be expected to support all imagingcenters staffed by our organization. You will also need to apply your knowledgeof magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors prior toadmittance into the MR magnet room. You will:

• Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders
• Maintain accurate up-to-date records of procedures performed
• Operate a variety of post-processing/3D workstations
• Perform accurate image archival
• Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media
• Sensitively handle physical and emotional needs of the patient

SalaryRange: $52.22 - $68.84 Hourly

• Licenses
• A combination of the ARRT and CRT - required. MR certificate required

OR you need

• A combination of the ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) - required
• BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
• Graduate from a AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - preferred
• Venipuncture certificate - preferred
• AA or BS - preferred
• At least 1 year of MRI experience - preferred
• Siemens experience - preferred
• Ability to adapt to advancements and changing technologies
• Ability to identify contraindications for exams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and independent decision-making skills
• Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes)
• Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
• You will be required to rotate to all radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health
