Primary Job Functions

Responsible for the control of payments for goods and services by receiving and disbursing funds and recording transactions at various casino food and beverage outlets. Responsible for the accuracy and accountability of individual cash bank. Performs basic accounting skills and operates a POS. Must have professional telephone skills. Processes and closes all POS orders ordered during shift in accordance with company accounting procedures. Performs opening and closing shift duties as in accordance with department and company standards. Maintains a professional appearance and performance according to department and company policies. Expert knowledge on all items of the menu to increase guest satisfaction, including but not limited to specials, ingredients, and preparation of menu items. Must be able to perform basic preparation of menu items, garnishes, and sides dependent on venue. Verifies F&B items released from kitchen are recorded on a check and are carried with established company policies. Verifies the orders are in compliance with stipulated kitchen standards by performing visual checks. Assures that items leaving kitchen are in accordance with Health Department guidelines. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Food and Beverage Supervisor or Food and Beverage management.

Qualifications

Work Experience Required: 2-3 years cash handling experience. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's or ServSafe Card. Education: High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Must be able to speak, read and understand English. Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand the entire shift excluding breaks and meal periods. Must demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic approach to all assignments. Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position. Must be able to work a full-time schedule during tournaments and other peak business periods. Must be able to work overtime, as business needs require, with or without advance notice. Must possess an ability to work with minimal supervision and make educated ethical decisions as necessary. Must be able to resolve conflicts and have effective communication skills with all levels of employees and be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
