Job Description
The MIG Welder is responsible for performing MIG welding on various metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, primarily focusing on handrail components and custom metal structures. This role involves fabricating, fitting, and assembling metal frameworks, reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders, and ensuring finished products meet quality and safety standards. The MIG Welder works on both custom and standard projects and does not require any travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum handrail components
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble handrails, guardrails, stair railings, and custom metal structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding and assembly
- Inspect finished welds and products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Repair and rework welds as needed to meet quality standards
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
