Location: Pearl City, HI Employment Type: Full-Time Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance Position is contingent upon contract award. Position Overview The Asst QAO LOGSU-8 supports LOGSU-8 in Pearl City, Hawaii by assisting with the quality assurance program for DCS, DDS, SDV, SWCS, and related assigned assets . This role supports QA program development, maintenance, certification, documentation control, audit readiness, training and qualification tracking, package review, and sustainment activities to help ensure maintenance and certification requirements are met and mission readiness is maintained Key Responsibilities Assist in the management of quality assurance programs supporting the development, maintenance, and certification of DCS, DDS, SOC, SWCS, and other assigned assets. Assist in development, planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of QA policy, methodology, procedures, training, and maintenance activities. Support tracking, monitoring, and training for all aspects of the QA program, including training and qualifications, material control, QA records and retention, departures from specification, cleanliness controls, technical documentation, calibration requirements, SOC, and audit/surveillance requirements. Provide onsite hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support to meet program requirements. Assist with QA requirements for maintenance, materials, and certification in accordance with applicable organizational requirements, including review of Controlled Work Packages and related documentation for completeness and compliance. Help ensure work packages contain correct revisions of technical work packages, drawings, maintenance requirement cards, test procedures, Objective Quality Evidence, cleanliness requirements, supply information, transfer of custody documentation, and component testing/certification records. Assist with annual QA internal surveys, ISIC, TYCOM, and NAVSEA QA assessments, as well as sustaining certification surveys for assigned systems and equipment. Assist with QA training and qualifications for QA division, repair department, and supervisory personnel, including tracking QA and O2 Clean qualifications and ensuring newly reported personnel receive required training. Support the Audit, Surveillance, and Evaluation program to improve and maintain first‑time quality. Assist with fact finding and critiques after mishaps to identify trends and improve maintenance processes. Support coordination with Navy host submarine commands, parent commands, and external organizations for transfer and acceptance of custody of controlled materials and assigned assets. Support liaison actions involving departures from specification and Liaison Action Requests for engineering specifications and procedures. Participate in weekly meetings on QA program status and QA work conducted on assigned assets. Develop Formal Work Packages and Controlled Work Packages for maintenance and testing on submarine and submersible systems and components. Assist with installation and testing of advanced submarine technology and evaluation of system deficiencies and sustainment issues. Operate Government vehicles as required in support of assigned duties. Minimum Requirements to be considered Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Navy submarines QA Program . Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Navy submarines or submersible platforms . Minimum of 10 years of experience with submarine mechanical and electrical systems or components . Minimum of 10 years of experience with supply chain or inventory management . Minimum of 4 years of experience with NAVSEA 9290 requirements . High School Diploma or equivalent plus 10 years of related experience , or BA/BS plus 4 years of related experience . Active Secret Clearance required . Prior military experience as QA Officer preferred .
