Contract | Nights (4x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit managing all types of L&D cases across 31 rooms and 4 operating rooms
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, providing continuous newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments until transfer to postpartum
• Circulate in the operating room as required for surgical deliveries
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Perform electronic fetal monitoring and document care using EPIC
• Float to Postpartum and Antepartum units, and potentially to sister facilities offering Mother/Baby services, as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement
• Demonstrated ability to provide newborn care including eye prophylaxis, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments — hard stop requirement
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and electronic fetal monitoring
• Active, valid RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3–5 or more years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
• Experience with midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care populations
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and high-volume delivery environments
