Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting. Responsible for delivering evidence-based, family-centered care while ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Administer neonatal care, including IV placement, ventilators, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and inform parents.
• Document patient conditions accurately using Meditech and paper flow sheets.
• Perform neonatal-specific procedures such as ROP exams, intubation, and central line placement.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code responses to ensure rapid intervention.
• Maintain compliance with facility certifications and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, preferably Level III NICU.
• Proven ability to work with families during stressful hospitalizations.
• Strong clinical skills including IV placement, hypoglycemia management, and neonatal abstinence scoring.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
