Java Developer - Healthcare Claims Processing

Job Title: Java Developer - Healthcare Claims Processing
Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid - Occasional Onsite)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

We are seeking a Java Developer with strong experience in Healthcare Claims Processing to join our agile development team. The role involves working on an enterprise-level system that manages end-to-end claims processing, including pricing, validation, and integration with external systems. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge of healthcare claims, proficiency in Java/Spring Framework, and hands-on experience with AWS and integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle end-to-end claims processing, from intake to pricing and adjudication.

Develop and maintain interfaces for claims pricing and validation.

Design, implement, and enhance system functionality in an Agile environment.

Collaborate with a team of developers to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Partner with business and technical teams to implement new features and improvements.

Troubleshoot, optimize, and support production systems as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

4+ years of hands-on development experience.

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework - MUST HAVE (Top Priority).

Healthcare Claims Processing experience - MUST HAVE.

X12 file format understanding - MUST HAVE.

Integration experience with JMS and JPA - MUST HAVE.

AWS concepts and services - MUST HAVE.

Strong SQL skills - Preferred.

Experience with Kubernetes - Helpful / Nice to Have.

Experience with Snowflake and Angular - Preferred.

Oracle as the primary database - prior experience preferred.
