Trainer

Overview The Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (View email address on click.appcast.io). The role includes assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing them on the proper use of equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct and run the Planet Fitness View email address on click.appcast.io program, including creating and following the schedule. Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on proper and safe equipment use. Create bi‑weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises. Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic. Assist with front desk related activities: answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with various questions, check members into the system, handle new member sign‑ups, take prospective members on tours, and respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed. Qualifications & Requirements A passion for fitness and health Upbeat and positive attitude Excellent punctuality and reliability Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co‑workers, exceeding expectations Strong listening skills with ability to empathize and solve problems Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions using appropriate behavior and language Current CPR Certification required Nationally Certified Training Certificate required High School diploma/GED equivalent required Must be 18 years of age or older Physical Demands Continual standing and walking during shift Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during shift Benefits All staff will receive a free Black Card membership after 90 days of employment.
