CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.The Sr. Project Engineer is a mix of a senior level Individual Contributor who leads program development(s) as the technical expert for products in their affiliated Integrated Product Team (IPT). This individual is responsible for product design, alignment across functional teams, regular communication of progress, as well as escalation of any issues/blockers. The Sr. PE Lead is the technical owner of the product development.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and manage customer's technical expectations for communication to the project team and back to the customerAssess the feasibility of new business opportunities as well as develop & author technical proposals and contractually obligated responsesPerform detailed technical analysis and design at the subsystem or system level using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Ansys HFSS, Spice, Inventor, etc…Provide technical expertise and leadership on programs, working in collaboration with the Program Manager, to lead the development team to achieve the committed product functionality in the timeline of the agreed contractEnsure that all customer, contract and regulatory technical requirements on programs are metAct as technical expert to critical suppliers, including evaluation of the supplier's solution, and testing, in terms of being able to meet the customer and regulatory requirements at the proposal and/or project stagesTechnical expert to lead engineering design teams to meet program objectives in terms of quality, cost and schedule (including on time delivery)Anticipate and manage technical risks on the projects and ensure mitigation plans are in placeGuide the Systems Engineering team to document and track program requirements and drive team alignment to said requirementsCoach and develop junior Project Engineers as they manage their own programsSupport site installations as needed, as the program expert, in support of the Field Service Representative teamChampion & implement cross-team/intra-team collaboration and continuous improvement in product designs and engineering practices, with a mindset for subsystem reuseDefine processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibilityQualificationsBS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar with 10 or more years of relevant experienceDeeply skilled at translating system level requirements to functional areas for implementationExtensive knowledge of RF and digital systems, as well as mechanical designExceptional verbal and written skills and the ability to influence others for optimum interaction with project teams, management and customers as well as creating required technical documentationAbility to thrive in a highly dynamic work environment with various concurrent projects and competing priorities.Travel will be required to support site installationsSelected candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the U.S. Government throughout the course of their employment.
