About the Role:

Adventures One Inc is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Activities Assistant to join our team in Clinton, MD! In this rewarding role, you'll help plan and lead engaging programs that make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and social activities programs
• Engage and motivate participants to take part in scheduled activities and events
• Support the Activities Director in coordinating special events, outings, and holiday programs
• Monitor and document participant attendance, progress, and overall engagement
• Set up and break down activity spaces, materials, and equipment as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants
• Communicate effectively with staff, participants, and families regarding activity schedules and updates

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in recreation, social work, or related field preferred
• At least 3 to 5 years of prior experience in activities, recreation, or caregiving with seniors
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of individuals
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling purposes
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
