Registered Nurse - Operating Room

$2720.00/week -

Job Summary:

The OR RN will provide specialized circulating and PACU nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting a diverse range of specialties including general surgery, GI, OBGYN, orthopedics, ENT, urology, cataracts, and podiatry. The role requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during operative procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and oversee nursing care for patients throughout surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Serve as circulating nurse, managing intraoperative activities and assisting surgical teams as needed.
  
  
• 
  Provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU, monitoring patient recovery and vital signs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
  
  
• 
  Document intraoperative procedures and patient responses accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
  
  
• 
  Participate in call rotations, supporting surgical services during off-hours, including weekends and evenings.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess circulating nurse experience in an operating room setting.
  
  
• 
  Have PACU experience, demonstrating proficiency in post-anesthesia recovery care.
  
  
• 
  Hold a current RN license and related certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of surgical specialties including general, GI, OBGYN, orthopedics, ENT, urology, cataracts, and podiatry.
  
  
• 
  Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred.
  
  
• 
  Show evidence of operating room skills and recent employment verification.
