Schedule: Monday–Friday; 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts beginning at 6:30 AM, based on surgical and patient-care demands

Pay Range (W2): $115.00 – $125.00/hour

Max (1099 Rate): $170.00/hour

We're seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time position supporting Military Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and surrounding cities.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide advanced anesthesia care in a military medical center while working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The position offers no routine weekend or holiday requirements , competitive compensation, and the opportunity to support a diverse inpatient surgical population.

Schedule

Facility: MOMMC is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week inpatient treatment facility.

Shift Structure: Daily shifts begin at approximately 6:30 AM and may be assigned as 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts based on variable surgical and patient-care demands. All shifts include a minimum of a 30-minute uncompensated lunch break .

Schedule Management: Specific shift assignments will be determined by the Government supervisor.

What You'll Do

Core Duties:

• Independently manage the patient's anesthesia experience without physician supervision, as privileged by the MTF Credentials Committee
• Perform comprehensive preoperative anesthesia evaluations and preparations
• Obtain informed consent, request appropriate consultations and diagnostic studies, and order pre-anesthetic medications
• Independently develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans
• Administer monitored anesthesia care, regional, general, and neuraxial anesthesia
• Perform an assessment immediately prior to induction, including review of the medical record, pertinent laboratory data, medications, previous anesthetic experiences, and changes in the patient's condition
• Maintain physiologic homeostasis and identify and correct abnormal responses to anesthesia and surgery
• Collect, interpret, and document patient physiological data using appropriate noninvasive monitoring modalities
• Manage patient airways and pulmonary function throughout the perioperative period
• Perform and manage invasive monitoring as clinically indicated and within granted privileges
• Manage anesthesia emergence and recovery, including pain control, prevention and treatment of anesthesia-related complications, and appropriate medication, fluid, or ventilator support
• Record pertinent events throughout induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, including anesthetic agents, medications, IV fluids, and blood or blood components
• Perform and document post-anesthetic evaluations, including assessment for anesthesia-related complications
• Provide patients with the highest level of professional care while maintaining privacy, dignity, safety, and comfort
• Arrive sufficiently early to prepare for the first scheduled case and ensure timely case readiness
• Maintain flexibility regarding completion or relief from scheduled duties based on operational needs
• Complete required MTF orientation, onboarding, specialty-specific training, hospital policies, and applicable procedures
• Complete required training involving MHS Genesis, Joint Legacy Viewer, and other job-specific systems as required by the 99th Medical Group
• Comply with applicable medical staff bylaws and all requirements associated with granted clinical privileges
• Maintain professional appearance, appropriate healthcare attire, and professional conduct at all times

What You'll Need — Mandatory Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of active CRNA practice , current within the last 6 months of application, meeting applicable clinical competency and CRNA/anesthesia-specific credentialing requirements. Clinical experience must include General Anesthesia and Obstetric (Neuraxial) Anesthesia cases.

Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) .

Certification: Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) .

Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state, along with the applicable current CRNA license/authorization.

Life Support Certification: Current certifications as required for the position, including:

• BLS
• ACLS or ALS
• PALS
• NRP
• ATLS

BLS, ACLS/ALS, and PALS certifications must meet American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) requirements.

Security: Must be able to successfully pass a government background check and obtain/maintain any required security clearance or access authorization.
