Home Care CNA / HHA, Steady Client Shifts

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring dependable caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs for home care opportunities in the Jacksonville, St. Johns, Julington Creek, and surrounding areas.

This is a W-2 employee position. It is not a 1099 contractor role or registry position.

We are a locally owned home care agency operated by a husband and wife team. Our owners are actively involved and accessible, and our office team works to communicate clearly with caregivers.

We know that home care only works when caregivers are respected and supported. That is why we focus on strong communication, realistic scheduling, and long-term relationships with dependable caregivers.

Schedule and Hours

Home care schedules depend on client needs. Current opportunities may include:

• Part-time and full-time schedules
• Weekday shifts
• Weekend shifts
• Daytime and evening shifts
• Some overnight opportunities
• Minimum 4-hour shifts
• Longer 8-hour and 12-hour shifts when available
• Overtime opportunities when available

We work to keep caregivers reasonably close to home when possible, while matching based on skills, availability, client needs, and travel distance.

Typical pay is $17 to $18+ per hour for most cases. Higher rates may be available for select assignments based on client needs, schedule, location, and case complexity.

What You Will Do

You will provide personal care and daily living support that helps clients remain safe and comfortable at home.

Responsibilities may include:

• Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
• Transfers and mobility support
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping related to the client
• Companionship and conversation
• Medication reminders
• Help with errands or appointments when included in the care plan
• Reporting changes or concerns to the office

Our clients include seniors, disabled adults, people recovering from illness or surgery, and individuals who need companionship or personal care at home.

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or HHA certificate
• Successful Level II Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV/AIDS training
• Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation to client homes
• Strong communication skills
• Professional, dependable, and caring attitude
• Comfort with pets preferred
