COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is not in a collective bargaining unit. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Finance & Treasury (OFT). The incumbent will assist in document gathering, file completion, and monitoring court cases and court dockets for CCU cases where the Office of the Attorney General is representing the CCU and the District in its collections efforts. Duties include but are not limited: compiling information, data, and statements to complete court document packages for the OAG to file in foreign courts; preparing cases for the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for filing in Superior Court; tracking and processing incoming settlement checks and payments on judgments; and preparing drafts of monthly reports to track a variety of data points. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of progressive experience managing and coordinating documentation for detailed administrative projects or assignments; performing data entry, research, and analysis; and creating reports within databases or similar software. Experience must include at least one (1) year supporting collection efforts and processes. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to multitask effectively, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs. Specialized Experience
Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
