Associate Director, Biostatistics

This is what you will do:The Associate Director,Biostatisticshas sufficient experience working as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry to independently perform and lead statistical work within a project,an indicationwithin a more complex project. This individualis able tolead, and direct biostatistics work either in house orpartneringwith CROs to ensure delivery to quality and time. You willbe responsible for:The Associate Director, Biostatistics may work as a lead statistician:For a project orindicationin clinical or preclinical therapeutic areasLeading the delivery and oversight on a multiple studies/indicationwithin a project, potentially as a Global Project Statistician for a standard drug projectContributing to statistical methodological advancesAccountabilities for supporting projects directly include:Lead the statistical thinking and contributions to the delivery of studies, development plans, regulatory strategy, health technologyassessmentand/or commercialactivitiesDirect project work, including statistical staff and/or CRO partners, to ensure delivery to standards, quality, andtimeDevelop design options and provide high quality decision support to enable the business to make informed decisions about a study orprojectQuantify the benefit, risk, value, and uncertainty of the emerging asset/productprofileInvestigate and apply novel statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration, including modelling andsimulationLeverage standardization to maximize global data integration andinterpretabilityMentor/coach and support the education and training of statisticsstaffYou will need to have:3 years’ experienceand anMSc/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics (containingasubstantialstatisticalcomponent), or recognized equivalent to statsMScStrong knowledge of programming in R and/or SASKnowledge ofthe technical and regulatory requirements related to theroleExcellent communication skills, andability to build strongrelationshipsFlexible, well-organized, andpossessthe ability to work well underpressureThe duties of this role aregenerally conductedin an office environment.
