Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• Select exposure factors, position patients, and consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
• Operate all equipment proficiently and report malfunctions
• Complete all assigned procedures timely, contributing to department efficiency
• Maintain medication security access to authorized personnel only
• Ensure the use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two (2) years of experience
• NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start)
• ARRT
• VIR Certification preferred
