Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, applying age- and population-specific standards in the assigned clinical setting
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Responsible for care coordination, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various nursing interventions
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and applicable Administrative Rules

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Must be able to badge in and out at the facility for every shift
• Navy Blue scrubs required
• Must live within 80 miles of the facility to be eligible for local placement consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with inter-professional care team collaboration in an acute care environment
• Experience providing patient education and coordinating care across the continuum
