This role is within Lexington Property, a leading US-based surplus lines insurer that serves companies and organizations of all sizes. How you will create an impact Illustrate a high level of technical proficiency and underwriting acumen combined with marketing and sales skills to meet production underwriting goals while maintaining budgeted loss and expense ratios. Develop broker and portfolio strategies in partnership with the team to manage a profitable book of new and renewal business. Mentor, train, and guide junior team members while collaborating across AIG divisions and building a culture of diversity and inclusion. Assist in planning and budgeting and support the Zone’s strategic goals. What you’ll need to succeed Underwrite property risks across the spectrum of E&S Property business and maintain a balanced portfolio across primary and excess placements. Experience underwriting 100%, primary/shared, layered, and excess structures. Strong understanding of current market conditions, ability to quickly make decisions, turn around quotes, and manage multiple prospects concurrently. Collaborate with regional Property leadership peers and wholesale trading partners. Review and negotiate manuscript form wordings and coverages. Lead mentoring and training activities for the Zone.
