Data Center & Route Switch Field Service Technician :

- This position requires a person willing to go to new places. Tickets can be assigned four or more hours away to provide installation and maintenance services to voice and data networks, servers, computer systems, retail technology systems, and other network-based hardware
Acuative technicians are guaranteed forty (40) hours of pay per week even if not dispatched for forty hour
s.
To be eligible for this role you must have a clear driver’s license (no more than 4 points), have the Covid-19 vaccination, and willing to work mostly M-F with opportunity for overtime and call out pay after hours. This position often works alone, and qualified applicants must be able to lift up to fifty pounds above head and climb a ladd

Overv
iew :Acuative, the nation's leading independent provider of telecommunications field services, seeks a Field Service Technician. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time covering the (MARKET) area providing installation and maintenance services to voice and data networks, servers, computer systems, retail technology systems, and other network based hard
ware.
Primary Duties and Responsibili
ties :The position involves a variety of tasks including but not limit
ed to:Installation and maintenance of networking hardware including routers, switches, and
WAP’s.Installation and maintenance of telephony equipment and cir
cuits.Installation and support of retail technology systems – POS, Digital Signage, and Video Surveillance Sy
stems.Circuit extensions and structured ca
bling.Site surveys and site a
udits.Installation of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite receivers, cables and har
dware.Installation of Fixed Wireless Antennas, cables and har
dware.Accurate and timely submission of all job-related documents and deliver
ables.Maintain company vehicle, inventory, and tools to departmental stan
dards.
Preferred Qualifica
tions :Candidates should possess many of the followin
g KSAs:Working knowledge of networking hardware and topo
logies.Familiarity with Cisco networking products and interfacing through Cis
co CLI.Understanding of telephony systems (VOIP, PBX, Key Systems) with an ability to provide hands-on hardware and troubleshooting s
upport.Knowledge of computing systems hardware with the ability to provide break/fix support for desktop PC and/or s
ervers.Physical installations of a wide variety of hardware including routers, switches, WAPs, servers, POS systems, digital signage systems, and associated peripheral equ
ipment.Ability to provide configuration support for a variety of technology platforms through console and remote applic
ations.Experience with LEC circuit identification and exte
nsions.Familiarity with cabling standards and the ability to pull and terminate cabling in a variety of customer enviro
nments.Ability to operate basic power tools – drills, saw
s, etc.Work on ladders and lifts where re
quired.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel &
Word).Ability to follow detailed job doc
uments.Must be willing to travel as needed to meet custome
r SLAs.On-call, after hours, and weekend work may be re
