HVAC Mechanic

Aerotek is seeking a skilled, Journeyman-level HVAC Mechanic to join a team that services a portfolio of data centers in Northern VA (Ashburn, Sterling, Dulles). This is a direct hire position that will offer a take home work vehicle. The hourly pay rate offered is $40-50/hr.

This technician installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs commercial and industrial HVAC systems, with a primary focus on data center environments. This role works with equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units, split systems, VRF and VAV systems, and air handling units, using strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret controls, drawings, and schematics. The technician ensures reliable, efficient, and safe operation of HVAC equipment critical to data center performance.

Essential Skills

• At least five years of related experience or training in HVAC installation and service, preferably in commercial and industrial settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Apprentice HVAC License.
• HVAC Journeyman License.
• Universal EPA Certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in commercial HVAC service.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience working with commercial and industrial HVAC equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units, VRF systems, VAV systems, split systems, and air handling units.
• Capability to perform HVAC service, repair, and maintenance in demanding environments such as data centers.
• Solid understanding of HVAC controls and system operation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ashburn, VA. The pay range for this position is $93,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr.
