Lab Technician - Microbiology
Location: Payson, UT
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental samples.
- Prepare microbiological culture media and reagents.
- Incubate, monitor, and enumerate microbial cultures.
- Identify microorganisms using established laboratory procedures.
- Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company SOPs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Assist with routine laboratory maintenance, calibration, and quality control activities.
- Previous laboratory experience in microbiology preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, microbial culture preparation, and microorganism identification.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently.
- Experience in the dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, food, or related manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related science preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
