Administrative Professional 1

DYS is seeking an Administrative Professional 1 to serve as part of our Unit Management team at Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills and be a team player. The Administrative Professional 1 will be responsible for providing assistance to assigned unit. Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform routine administrative tasks (e.g., draft correspondence, compile data, answer telephone, sort mail); prepare reports, schedules, spreadsheets, and documents; proofread and make corrections to documents; Contact courts and schedule all facility trips; Maintain your records, process youth intakes, and coordinate youth releases; Schedules and starts virtual meetings for youth with courts. 1 yr. trg. or 1 yr. exp. in secretarial science or business office applications. For positions requiring technical terminology, applicants must also have 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in relevant technical terminology.
