The Carpenter is responsible for a variety of tasks to maintain productivity at the job site. Activities are coordinated with the Project Manager and the Superintendent. The ideal candidate will be an all-around handyman with skills in drywall/patching, blocking/backing, concrete, painting, caulking, door installation, general clean‑up and material handling. Essential Functions Constructing scaffold Performing rough formwork Layout and installation of wall blocking Installation of roof blocking Hanging and finishing drywall Caulking Patching patch hollow metal doors and frames (bondo) Reading safety rules, instructions and procedures for truck, tools and equipment use and maintenance Basic knowledge of reading blueprints Proficient in rough carpentry and basic construction Required Experience & Qualifications High school diploma preferred; on-the-job training required Minimum of 5 years commercial construction field experience Preferred Experience OSHA 10 certification First Aid/CPR certification EEO Statement Balfour Beatty is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
