Full-Time/Hybrid Registered Dietitian Position

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our network of exceptional clinicians. You will have the ongoing support of our dedicated team, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care

Overview: This exciting opportunity for a Registered Dietitian offers a flexible and rewarding work-life balance with a blend of in-person and remote work options.

Facility Type: Acute Care

Part-time hours: 40 hours per week (50% Remote). Choose your days and hours.


Compensation: $30.00-38.00 per hour depending on experience


Travel Reimbursement: Paid at the same hourly rate for time traveling to and from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Performcomprehensive nutrition assessments for patients identified at nutritionalrisk, adhering to facility policies and procedures
• Develop,implement and monitor individualized and evidence-based nutrition careplans for patients with complex medical conditions
• Offernutrition education and counseling to patients and families regardingacute disease management, discharge planning, and prevention ofreadmission.
• Proactivelycollaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses,pharmacists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and othermembers of the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomesand facilitate timely discharge.
• Ensurecompliance with all hospital policies, regulatory standards (e.g., TJC,CMS), and best practice guidelines for acute care nutrition.
• Maintain t horough and timely electronic medical record documentation in afast-paced environment, reflecting medical necessity and interventioneffectiveness.
• Routinelymonitor patients for acute changes in weight, labs, fluid status, andclinical condition, adjusting nutrition interventions promptly.
• Activelyparticipate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical rounds etc toenhance nutrition care services and overall patient safety within theacute care setting.
• Serveas a nutrition expert and resource for hospital staff, contributing tostaff education and development.
• Performother tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from anaccredited program.
• Registeredby the Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD/RDN).
• Currentstate licensure/certification (if mandated by the state).
• Minimumof 2-3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospitalsetting (required).
• Demonstratedexperience managing patients with diverse, complex medical conditions.
• Proficiencyin enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction withpatients, families, and high-performing healthcare teams in high-pressuresituations.
• Possessessuperior critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesto assess rapidly changing objectives, develop, and implement effective,time-sensitive plans.
• Strongfamiliarity with acute care workflows, electronic health records (EHR),and regulatory standards relevant to hospital accreditation.
• Abilityto work autonomously and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
