Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Craft individualized treatment plans targeting a person's specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Educate clients and their families to support progress beyond the session, reinforcing the therapy's impact.
- Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a consistent care experience.
- Ensure meticulous documentation that meets all regulatory requirements.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth through learning and collaboration with peers.
Education and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications Required
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
