Industrial / Commercial Electrician

Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Industrial/Commercial Electricians are needed for projects located in or around Portage, IN . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $30-$40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls in industrial and commercial environments Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawing Install conduit (EMT, Rigid, PVC, and Flexible), cable trays, wire, and electrical devices Troubleshoot electrical systems using appropriate testing equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently Install and terminate motors, transformers, panels, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, and control systems Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and local electrical codes Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures as needed Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial and or a combination of industrial and commercial electrical experience Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Proficiency using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions when required Ability to distinguish wire colors and perform detailed electrical work Preferred Experience with motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and automation systems Experience installing and servicing three-phase electrical systems OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience operating aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts Company Details Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
