Registered Nurse Step-Down ICU / ICU

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Assignment Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements

• Current IL RN License
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Must be willing to float to Step-Down ICU
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
