Responsibilities Responsible for performing general mechanical and preventative tasks, as well as inspections, services, repairs and overhauls on hospital equipment as directed. Installing all new equipment and systems as assigned and ensuring that installations and operations comply with manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, regulations, and safety policies. Coordinating and inspecting projects, ensuring they meet quality standards within approved time frames and comply with city/state codes and JACHO requirements. Carrying out routine and specific assignments to ensure the physical plant and assigned equipment are in safe operating condition and compliant with hospital policies and regulatory/accrediting codes. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
