As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Rover in Ridley Park, PA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $28.71 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, restricted zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and credential activity, challenge unauthorized persons when appropriate, and support the control of entry to sensitive areas involving equipment, materials, and/or operations.
• Support incident reporting, post orders, and preparedness procedures by completing required logs, maintaining situational awareness, and assisting with responses to medical, fire, and/or facility-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess Act 235 qualification for positions in Pennsylvania only.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
