Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards and the nursing process. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and collect relevant health data to inform care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate and deliver nursing interventions while promoting a safe, healing environment.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans accordingly to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Guide and delegate tasks to nursing staff, ensuring effective team functioning.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience in an acute care or Medical Surgical setting preferred.
• Certification in BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills necessary.
