Position Title: Accountant 3 / Accounting Clerk
Location: Miami, FL 33146
Duration: 06 Months Contract Assignment
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $18.40/hour on W2

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform professional accounting functions including general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting .
• Prepare and review complex financial statements, reports, schedules, summaries, and budget documents .
• Review invoices and payment requests to verify accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with accounting requirements.
• Maintain and reconcile accounting records, ledgers, journals, and other fiscal records.
• Assist with internal and external audits , prepare audit documentation, and support corrective actions related to audit findings.
• Assist with departmental budget preparation, expenditure reporting, and budgetary calculations .
• Review and improve accounting procedures and systems to support accurate and efficient financial reporting.
• Coordinate accounting activities with other departments and assist with resolving complex accounting issues.
• May supervise and review the work of accounting and clerical staff , including training and work assignments.
• Ensure accounting activities follow applicable government, federal, state, and local financial regulations .

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR Bachelor's degree to include 21 semester credits in Accounting.
• Two years of professional accounting experience to include the preparation of complex financial reports are required.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and accounting procedures .
• Ability to analyze accounting processes, resolve financial issues, and prepare accurate reports .
• Government or public-sector accounting experience is preferred.
• Bilingual is preferred.
