Full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist

VHC Health is seeking an extraordinary psychiatrist dedicated to collaborative, patient- centered care to join our well-respected medical group in Arlington, VA. This role focuses on delivering world-class, evidence-based care to adult patients on an inpatient setting, with opportunities to collaborate on continuous improvement and clinical leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients in an inpatient setting

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and coordination of care

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, social work, case management, and therapy staff

• Participate in patient and family education to support treatment goals and continuity of care

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards for patient safety and clinical excellence

• Support program development and participate in efforts to enhance behavioral health services

• Demonstrate leadership potential through mentorship, collaboration, and participation in department initiatives, with the opportunity to advance into a Lead Physician role

Qualifications

* MD or DO from an accredited institution

* Completion of an accredited General Adult Psychiatry Residency

* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry

* Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia

* Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred

* Demonstrated interest in leadership or program development is highly desirable

* Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred

Compensation

Compensation Range: $250,000.00 - $552,240.00 annually
