Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Responsibilities Analyze customer requirements and provide technical solutions to complex problems. Perform maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks. Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies, and maintain system backup and recovery capability. Coordinate the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. Create plans and configure systems for data communication networks. Design and build hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks. Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Requirements 5+ years of related experience. CCNA or equivalent experience required; CCNP preferred. AWS or Azure Cloud experience required. AWS or Azure Cloud certifications preferred. DoD 8570 IAT Level II required. ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred. Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs. Expert level knowledge of the OSI model, common network protocols, TCP/UDP ports, and common network troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, etc). Ability to troubleshoot multi‑vendor network issues in the WAN and collaborate with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other configuration issues. Full technical knowledge of all phases of network operations. Ability to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex networking problems. Security clearance TS/SCI. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Skills Excellent communication skills, tact, effective listening skills, and follow‑through. Ability to provide clear written documentation on network procedures and diagrams. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems. Strict adherence to network protocols and methodology. Military experience preferred. Job Details Weekly hours: 40. Travel: less than 10%. Telecommuting options: onsite. Location: USA, NC Fort Liberty; on customer site. Salary range: $123,250 - $166,750 (subject to experience, location, and contract).
