Warehouse AssociateA distribution company for furniture and home items such as fitness equipment, electronics, and appliances is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join their team. This is a physically demanding job in a fast-paced environment where you are always on the move. You could be moving, staging, loading, unloading, assembling items, or keeping the warehouse clean, neat, and organized.Warehouse Associate RequirementsLoading and unloading trailersPull orders and stage ordersOrganizing and stocking materials in the warehouseStacking boxes of furniture on top of each other for storageMoving items primarily by hand, hand dolly, hand cart, pallet jackUtilize RF Scanners, electronic scannersVerify that orders are correct that are moving throughout the order processKeep the warehouse clean and organized using 5S principlesMaintain inventory accuracyLoading trash and cardboard into compactorMay also operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and electric pallet jacksFlexible to work in any area of the warehouseSchedule and Pay1st shift Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with some OT Saturdays 7:00am-11:00am$17.50/HRWarehouse Associate QualificationsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedMust be able to lift, move, and maneuver large furniture and home items, assisted or unassisted, for the duration of the shiftAble to stand and walk for duration of the shiftPrevious warehouse experience is preferredAble to use a scannerAttention to detailExcellent attendanceSomeone who takes pride in their work and is dependable and reliableWyoming, MIFull-time; Evaluation hireExpress Employment Professionals is a local employment agency that has been helping people find great jobs in Grand Rapids since 1996.
