Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion - PRN

Registered Nurse (RN) – Infusion Schedule: PRN, As Needed. Day Shift. At Haywood Regional Medical Center's Homestead location, we offer ambulatory infusion services in a safe, comfortable environment. The RN provides direct patient care, medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care, following the nursing process and scope of practice. Responsibilities Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient. Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
