(Intertek-PSI) team in our Tukwila, Washington office and work on a long term WSDOT job in the Seattle area. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

What are we looking for?

The ACI Field Technician II performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $20/hour - $35/hour depending on experience and certifications. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete, asphalt or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks
• Make detailed observations, give limited interpretation, detailed documentation and data from test results
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1 year construction material testing experience
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician-Grade I Certificate
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills
• The ability to read and understand work plans
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
• Ability to work over night hours and off shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• WAQTC Certs is a PLUS
• Additional ACI Certifications
• WABO Certification
