RN Telemetry I

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in one location; and 2 years working as a Traveler License: Current RN License Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ability to read telemetry strips - Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen Description: This position is for a medical telemetry unit. The unit consists of 41 beds. Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed. Shifts rotate among days, evenings, and nights, with a mix of 7 AM to 7 PM, 11 AM to 11 PM, and 7 PM to 7 AM. Night positions will be straight nights. The clinician to patient ratio is 1 to 4/5 during the day, and 1 to 5/6 during evenings and nights. The patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal patients. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
