The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Macy's to find qualified candidates for a Team Member position in Staten Island, NY. Macy's is a major American department store chain known for selling a wide range of consumer goods including clothing, accessories, beauty products, home goods, and more. It operates both physical stores and an online shopping platform.

Position Overview

As a Team Member, you will be an integral part of bringing the magic of Macy's to life. Selling Colleagues provide outstanding customer service, meet hourly sales and Loyalty goals on a personal and departmental basis, and demonstrate superior product knowledge to customers. Team members create a shopping experience that will make the customer feel welcome and comfortable including the upkeep of merchandise within the store and maintaining the stockroom. The Team Member is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist with purchases and inquiries.
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals through product recommendations and upselling.
• Maintain knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies.
• Support merchandising by organizing and restocking displays.
• Operate cash registers and accurately process transactions.
• Assist with inventory tasks, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and work areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Prior retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs.
• Familiarity with POS systems or retail technology is a plus.

Pay Range

USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
