Public Trust Information Systems Security Officer

To support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the full-time remote Public Trust Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will serve as the primary security officer for NIH information systems, implementing and maintaining the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities. Key responsibilities Implement and maintain the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) throughout the system development lifecycle Develop, maintain, and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and other security documentation Perform continuous monitoring activities to ensure compliance with Federal cybersecurity requirements Required qualifications Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience supporting Federal information security programs Experience implementing NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls Active CISSP, CAP, Security+, CISM, GSLC, or GSEC certification
