Position: Procedure Center RN

Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:00 AM - 04:30 PM)

Start Date: Must be able to start on 09/28

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Procedure Center RN with a strong background in general surgery to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess EMR experience and relevant certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for inpatient and outpatient pediatric patients, with the occasional care for adults.
• Assist in a variety of minor surgical cases, including ENT, plastics, general surgery, ophthalmology, urology, dentistry, and oncology.
• Document patient care and procedures using Surginet (Cerner) electronic medical records system.
• Participate in endoscopic procedures; training will be provided as needed.
• Respond to emergency situations, utilizing advanced life support protocols and techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute or outpatient setting, preferably with significant experience in the required specialties.
• Certifications: Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required.
• Skills: Proficient in the administration of blood and blood products, central venous line management, and surgical procedures listed in the job description.
• Strong aptitude for working in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Call and Weekend Requirements

This position requires the candidate to be available for on-call duties, which include five weekdays and two weekend shifts per six-week rotation.

Patient Populations

• Pediatric patients aged from 1 day to 24 years.
• Adult patients on rare occasions for specific procedures.
