Pediatric Psychologist Outpatient Services

The Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full‑time, non‑tenure‑eligible Clinician‑Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This clinical child and adolescent psychologist will join a multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in a nationally‑ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus. Duties are primarily to: Responsibilities Conduct psychological evaluations and treatment of children and adolescents being seen in a large, multidisciplinary Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Serve as a member of the outpatient services team, conducting evaluations and short‑term treatment of children and adolescents; Provide psychological treatment services to children recently discharged from the Psychiatry Inpatient Unit and Partial Hospitalization Program; Provide clinical supervision and seminar teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs; Research is encouraged. Qualifications Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD or PsyD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA‑approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. At least one of training programs must have been APA‑approved. It is preferred that this individual have fellowship‑level training in pediatric psychology which includes the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease.
