Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800-$1,890 Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel Nursing Job Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown / Intermediate Care Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients requiring post-ICU support and intermediate-level care Location: Springfield, Ohio - a community-oriented city with a classic Midwestern feel and convenient access to the greater Ohio region Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state coverage Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Acute care, telemetry, or stepdown experience preferred BLS certification required ACLS certification required NIH Stroke Certification required EKG exam required Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment Ability to care for patients with chest tubes, central lines, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced respiratory needs Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process in a Progressive Care Unit / PCU setting Perform thorough assessments, identify priorities, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Administer medications safely and in alignment with nursing standards and unit protocols Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team and serve as a communication point for patients and families Care for complex stepdown patients with multi-system needs, including post-ICU recovery Monitor and manage lines, drains, chest tubes, pacing devices, and advanced respiratory modalities Educate patients and families while promoting safety, dignity, and positive outcomes Support evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and patient advocacy Why Apply for This Travel RN Job?
