TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Neurology to provide specialized care for patients with neurological disorders , including stroke, traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, and neurodegenerative diseases . This role is ideal for RNs with a strong background in neurological assessments, seizure management, and post-surgical neuro care .

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with neurological conditions , tracking changes in consciousness, motor function, and cognition
• Provide care for patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injuries, and neurosurgery
• Administer IV medications, anticoagulants, seizure medications, and pain management therapies
• Recognize and respond to neurological emergencies, including seizures, increased intracranial pressure (ICP), and autonomic dysreflexia
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
• Perform and document neurological assessments, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) evaluations, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments
• Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, rehabilitation goals, and post-discharge care
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neurology, neuro ICU, or stroke unit nursing
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of neurological conditions, seizure management, and neuro-critical care interventions
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills
