Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour day shifts with weekend and holiday requirements.

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a Med/Surg unit with a focus on various medical and surgical conditions. The role includes managing a patient load with a 1:9 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by PCA techs on the unit. The nurse will work collaboratively within a team environment to deliver high-quality patient care.

Assess and monitor patient conditions, administering medications as prescribed.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and charting.

Provide education and support to patients and their families on health management.

Participate in unit-based activities and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting.

Current New York State RN license.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

COVID vaccination required.

Previous experience with EPIC electronic health records.
