JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Oncology

Shift Timing: 18:30 - 07:00 Hours 3 days 12 hours shift

Per week: 36 hours

This department population includes medical, oncology, and end of life patients. No chemo experience required. Only those experienced will be expected to administer chemotherapy. Chemo education through ONS preferred, but not required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Med/Surg Oncology experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
• Active unencumbered Oklahoma RN state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
