Position Mortgage Loan Processor Location 2295 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH Job Details Job Id: 1042 | # of Openings: 1 Position Summary Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for all processing functions related to first mortgages in accordance with Federal and State guidelines. The role ensures compliance with underwriting guidelines for portfolio products and investor loans, coordinates loan closing among members, loan originator, post‑closer, and title company, meets rate lock and closing deadlines, and maintains effective communication with all stakeholders. Responsibilities Evaluates mortgage loan file received from Processing Team Lead. Determines if mortgage loan is Section 35 or 32 and proceeds appropriately. Completes and analyzes third‑party vendor work for conventional/investor loans. Handles compliance notifications, mortgage appraisals, and loan restructuring. Performs re‑verification of mortgage applicant/co‑signer background reports (credit, FHA, tax transcripts, social security verification, OFAC, fraud services). Communicates a clear‑to‑close email with title company, loan originator, and post‑closer, expecting close within 48 hours. Monitors contract and lock expiration dates and updates mortgage loan originator. Schedules closing with title company. Submits loans accurately in Accu‑Doc, ensuring correct amounts, fees, insurance, and title company routing. Sends weekly clear‑to‑close report to mortgage loan originator, post‑closer, and processing team lead. Updates the mortgage loan processor report timely and accurately. Maintains compliance with Telhio policies, internal controls, and all applicable regulations. Qualifications 3‑5 years mortgage processing experience. Knowledge of Encompass mortgage system. Knowledge of AUS (Automated Underwriting System). Knowledge of mortgage products and services. Knowledge of process procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize work independently. Flexibility with work schedule. Analytical thinking. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Willingness to work overtime and some weekends. Proficiency with computer and calculator. High school graduate or GED. Background check clearance (credit, drug screen, bondability, criminal).
